Sting threat: Govt to review CM’s security

Published on:

Following disclosure by Ayush Gaur that he had successfully conducted sting operation of some senior State Government officials and had even entered the Chief Minister’s residence, the Uttarakhand Government has stepped up the CM’s security. The principal secretary home, Anand Vardhan said on Monday that the CM’s security is reviewed from time to time and changes are made accordingly.

He said that the issue of the attempted sting operation would be brought to the notice of the high- powered committee soon. He further said that the legal action on the alleged mastermind of the attempted sting operation is being taken as per the law.

It is pertinent to mention here that the editor investigation of the Samachar Plus channel, Ayush Gaur had claimed that he had been forced to conduct sting on the CM and some of his close associates.

He said that he had successfully done the same of an additional chief secretary rank officer of Uttarakhand.

He further said that nothing objectionable had, however, been picked to frame him in corruption. Ayush said that he had entered the residence of the CM with spy camera with an intention of doing sting of CM.

The revelation has sent the state administration into a tizzy. It is now rethinking the security strategy of the CM and other VVIPs.
