The Uttarakhand Kranti Dal (UKD) has demanded stern action against the Government officials who conspired with the land mafia to dispose of valuable land of the Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) located in Mussoorie. In a letter to Inspector General of Garhwal range and head of SIT, Sanjay Gunjyal, the central general Secretary of UKD, Jay Prakash Upadhyay said that land mafia in connivance with Government officials are selling valuable land to outsiders. He said that many such complaints have been received in the past but it appears that that the administration is deliberately turning a blind eye to all such complaints. Upadhyay said that the latest case of sale of ITBP land throws a light on the prevalent practice in which the revenue officials and land mafia manipulate the records and sale government land. He said that the police should disclose the names of the officials involved in ITBP land scam and immediately arrest them.
