Statehood activists protest outside Vidhan Sabha

To pressure the State Government towards their pending demands,  dozens of Statehood activists gheraoed the Vidhan Sabha on Wednesday. 

The agitators carried out a rally and protested with candle in their hands. They were stopped outside Rispana police barricading. The protesters shouted slogans against the State Government and demanded redressal of their demands. 

Their demands included ten per cent reservation in Government jobs for Statehood activists and equal pension for all Statehood activists. The protesters were adamant towards their demands and sat on demonstration outside the barricading by shouting slogans, while this report was being filed.

Meanwhile, the district administration has issued alert to the Police officers and police personnel after knowing the fact that Statehood activists would gherao the Vidhan Sabha during evening hours on Wednesday. Additional police forces were deployed at around barricading to avoid untoward incident there.
