The State administration has withdrawn the powers of the Mukhya Nagar Adhikari of Municipal Corporation of Dehradun Ashok Kumar to direct works in the solid waste management project. According to sources, the decision was taken at a meeting chaired by the principal secretary, Urban Development late on Tuesday evening.
The additional MNA Uday Singh Rana has been authorised to direct work in the solid waste management project now. It is worth mentioning here that MNA Ashok Kumar often elicited criticism for problems being faced in the execution of the SWM project being implemented with funds from JNNURM.
