The minister said that the State will be providing a compensation of Rs 7,00,000 to the minor under the state’s scheme for victims of serious crimes in Uttarakhand.
Arya said, “I have spoken to the victim and her mother. The girl is suffering from urinary tract infection as the doctors told us. She will be fine in two-three days.
The mother and few other people accompanying them have alleged that police is conducting partial investigation and trying to protect the accused.
They also transported the victim and the minor in the same vehicle for recording their statements. If such is the case then immediate action will be taken against the officer concerned.”
She further added, “The family belongs to a financially poor background. For the future of the minor victim, we will be providing the compensation amount of Rs 7,00,000 under our scheme for victims of crime in Uttarakhand.”It is pertinent to mention here that the accused in this case, Vipin Panwar was arrested on May 31. However, the nine year old victim has not been able to give her statement under the section of 164 CrPC so far.
