The State Government would promote the youngsters in taking up sports as a career and would provide all possible help in this endeavour.
The chairman of Mandi Samiti of Dehradun, Ravindra Singh said this while flagging off a cross country race organised by department of sports at Gandhi park on Monday.
The event was organised on the occasion of State foundation day. Singh said that the youth of the state are capable of achieving dizzy heights in the field of sports provided they are nurtured properly.
He said that the State Government is committed to promote sports. The Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Dehradun, SN Dangi, District sports officer SK Sarki and others were present on the occasion.
