Acting on directions from the Centre, the State Government has completed the investigation into alleged anomalies in the Putrajeevak Beej medicine of Baba Ramdev. It is now up to the Central Government to take necessary action in this case, said the Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee Kishore Upadhyay here in Dehradun.
Addressing the media at the Congress Bhawan here on Wednesday, the PCC chief said that the State had completed the inquiry and submitted the inquiry report to the Centre regarding the Putrajeevak Beej medicine. The Centre should now take necessary action based on the findings, he said. Upadhyay said that different set of rules cannot be applied for different people as the law is same for all.
Referring the opposition raised by locals to the allocation of land in Nainisar to an industrial group for setting up an ‘international’ school, the PCC chief pointed out that a committee headed by ex MP Mahendra Pal had been set up to address concern raised by the local residents. The committee will be submitting its report in a fortnight, he added.
The PCC chief further reiterated that political leaders should return the police gunners deployed for their personal security. He had raised this issue with chief minister Harish Rawat in the past eliciting proactive response from him. The party leaders who do not return gunners to resolve the problems being faced in policing due to shortage of police personnel will not be allowed to enter the Congress Bhawan, he averred.
