The Chief Secretary Subhash Kumar held a meeting at the Secretariat with the Union Cabinet Secretariat’s Additional Secretary Anil Swaroop who assured the CS that the projects being proposed by the Uttarakhand State Government would be sanctioned by the Central Government on priority basis.
Swaroop said that the Union Government had set up a fast track system for projects worth more than Rs 1,000 crore. All the States have been given a password for the same. Any State can log into its portal and obtain information about the status of its project approval and deal with objections. The State Government will get response from Union Ministries regarding the queries they have put up.
The private partners too can create a user name and password in the portal to enquire about the progress of their projects. The Additional Chief Secretary Rakesh Sharma has asked the Planning Commission to pass on this information to all of the departments in the State.
