The State health department has initiated a process to open a small medical unit at the office of State health directorate for the employees posted there. The State health directorate is located at Danda lakhaund on Sahastradhara road. The Director Medical health Dr l M Upreti has written a letter to the Director General (DG) state health services Dr D S Rawat requesting him to open a medical unit in the directorate so that more than 400 employees working in different government departments there can get its benefit. Dr Upreti said that since the health directorate is situated more than 10 kms away from the city the employees working in the state health directorate, National Health Mission (NHM), Ayush directorate, Homeopathy directorate, head office of Red Cross society and office of Uttarakhand Medical Services Selection Board (UMSSB) face problems.
