With release of the entire amount approved under the district plan to all 13 districts of the State, the State Government has directed the respective district administrations to ensure completion of the different developmental projects in a timely manner while maintaining the quality of the works. Out of Rs 752.63 crore approved under the district plan, an amount of Rs 443.29 crore has been released to the Garhwal division, while the Kumaon division has received Rs 309.34 crore under the same district plan.
Out of Rs 443. 29 crore approved under district plan for the Garhwal division, Uttarakashi has received an amount of Rs 57.42 crore followed by Chamoli with Rs 55.71 crore, Tehri with Rs 71.41 crore, Dehradun with 74.61 crore, Pauri with 90 crore, Rudraprayag with 43.62 crore and Haridwar with Rs 50.52 crore. Similarly, out of Rs 309.34 crore released to the Kumaon division under the district plan Almora has received
Rs 56.7 crore followed by Bageshwar with Rs 44.73 crore, Nainital with 52.65 crore, Udham Singh Nagar with Rs 55. 65 crore, Pithoragarh with Rs 53.84 crore and Champawat with Rs 45.77 crore, said the officials concerned.
Side by side, out of Rs 2368.51 core approved under the Centrally sponsored schemes category, an amount of Rs 688.24 crore has been released to different districts in the State, while an amount of Rs 72 crore out of Rs 158.36 crore approved under different other schemes, has been released to different districts of the State, as the officials concerned informed.Besides, out of Rs 849.66 crore approved under the State sector plan, an amount of Rs 301.75 crore has already been utilised by the respective district administrations, they claimed. This is the first time when the entire amount proposed under the district plan has been released on the basis of the proposals made under the district plan by all the districts of the State, said State Finance Minister, Indira Hridayesh.
The respective district administration will allocate the fund released under the district plan as per the work plan of the department concerned, added the State Finance Minister.
As the entire amount under the district plan has been released so all the district administrations have been directed to carry out the developmental works in a timely manner while maintaining the quality of works, stressed the State Finance Minister.
