State Govt employees not satisfied with Cabinet decisions

Not satisfied with the state cabinet’s decision to constitute a committee to look into most of the demands of the state government employees, Adhikari Karmchari Shikshak Samanvay Samiti (AKSSS)- the umbrella organisation of all the employee associations- has decided to convene an urgent meeting of its executive body on Saturday. The employee leaders looked angry over the fact that just one of the ten demands raised by them has been conceded by the cabinet. Notably, in support of its demands,  AKSSS organised a strike (mass leave) on January 31.

The spokesperson of AKSSS Arun Pandey said that due to lack of clarity regarding  the cabinet decisions, the coordination committee has decided to convene an emergency meeting on Saturday.  The future course of agitation would be decided in course of the meeting after all the developments are discussed threadbare, he said.   Pandey further claimed that during the meeting of AKSSS with the state finance minister on Thursday, the minster had assured that the issue of Assured Career Progression ( ACP) at the end of 10, 16 and 26 years would be brought before the cabinet. Apart from HRA and ACP, the employees are demanding the old pension scheme be restored and compulsion of referral from the Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand scheme be removed.

Besides, AKSSS is also demanding the class IV employees be given benefit of staffing pattern in which grade of pay of Rs 4200 is provided.
