In a bid to get public reaction, the State finance commission is going to have a discussion with the representatives of local bodies of district Haridwar and Dehradun from Febraury 17 to 20 in continuation of ongoing district level hearing meetings. Finance Commission would take suggestions from departmental officials and experts during the following discussion. Chairperson of Commission, Prof. BK Joshi, Member CMS Bisht and Member Secretary lM Pant would be present in the meeting. Phase-wise meetings would be held from 11 am to 5 pm.
Member of commission Avikal Thapliyal apprised that discussion would be held with representatives of Haridwar and Roorkie municipal councils and Nagar Panchayat on February 17 in Roorkie. Further, discussion would be held on February 18 in Haridwar with representatives of local bodies. later, discussion would be held with the representatives of local bodies and departmental officials in Dehradun on February 19. At last, suggestions would be taken from the representatives of local bodies on February 20.
