A senior State BJP leader, and former president of Rajya Andolankari Parishad, Ravindra Jugran has written to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging that the State Government has trampled over the constitutional norms while retaining Rakesh Sharma as the chief secretary of the State after his retirement.
He forwarded the copies of the letter to the media during a press conference in Dehradun on Friday.
He said the letter contains 13 points, exposing the acts of omission and commission of the Congess-led State Government.
"I have given details of how the State government has given reappointment to Sharma, defying DoPT. This is a serious issue as it has sent a wrong message to the bureaucrats and other Government officials, demoralising them. The move is a discouraging one for the aspiring junior officials. Such extension or reappointment would prove a bad precedent as it was given when there were other officials competent enough to replace him. We are convinced that things are murky and worth to be probed into," Ravindra Jugran said to the media persons after the letter was released to the media.
