Taking note of the party’s public representatives, especially the MlAs, grumbling over the State Government expanding the areas of the municipal corporations, State BJP executive committee has constituted a committee known as Municipal corporation delimitation study committee to study things in depths. Besides, new voters monitoring committee has been formed too to understand the pulses of the new voters. State BJP president Ajay Bhatt disclosed this while interacting with the media between the first and second session of the executive committee meeting on Saturday. Municipal corporation delimitation study committee comprises nine members, including MlA Khazan Das (convener), state BJP spokesperson Vinay Goel, assistant media in-charge Omprakash Jamdagni, Suresh Parihar, OP Uniyal, Anita Mamgai (Pachwadun district BJP president), Abhishek Chandra, Narendra Singh Manas( ex- president of Kashipur district) and Devidayal Upadhyay.
New voters monitoring committee would be led by Kailash Sharma (convener), MlA Vinod Kandari, Sameer Arya (state BJP general secretary of SC Wing), lalit Pant (Pithoragarh), Rishi Sati (Chamoli), Sudha Gupta (Uttarkashi) and former MlA Mahaveer Singh Rangad.
