Reacting to the Cabinet decision to withdraw the notification of April 2, 2015, by which the Governor had recommended for CBI inquiry in the sting CD operation, the State BJP condemned the decision.
State BJP president Ajay Bhatt said that with this decision one thing clear that Chief minsiter Harish RAwat is facing severe threat from CBI otherwise he woudl have faced the CBI with open minded.
Since beginning of CBI proceeding he has been making excuse to evade CBI enquiry. First he said that time is inappropirate then said taht he is not feeling well so CBI shoudl come to Dehradun. Now he ensured the notification to be withdrawn by cabinet decision. to avoid criticism he did attend the cabinet meeting.
By convening cabinet meeting he has been giving relief to the mining traders and decided to close newly opened polic station in schedule tribe dominatd areas. now liquor traders hav ebeen charging more than the prescribed rate from consumers. Such decisions are being taken to compensate the people who helped monetarily to them to face political crisis.
Earlier he made excuses that he is not feeling well but he felt energetic while meting with congress supreme sonia gandhi at her residence in delhi but get unwell to face CBI.
