Party sources told that Rawat will hold the meetings with the party activists during his tour. Sources said that the purpose of the touring is to strengthen the party and apprise the activists about the wrong policies which were implemented by the Congress-led State Government.
The touring programme was made after Rawat assigned responsibilities and made in-charges of party’s district ahead of proposed agitation which is expected to start from May, 27 to June, 02.
However, party sources revealed that veteran party leaders including BJP State Chief Tirath Singh Rawat has already pulled up their socks for the upcoming general elections, slated to take place in the next year.
The party activists are already highly motivated especially after winning the Tehri MP by polls and recently concluded local bodies elections.
Interestingly, the BJP is trying to corner the UPA-II and Congress-led state government over issues like rampant corruption, inflation, cap on lPG cylinders and hiked in the prices of essential commodities etc.
