The members of employee union of State Jal Sansthan and Jal Nigam staged a protest meeting in front of the Secretariat on Wednesday. The agitators said that the Government had revised the salaries and pensions of the employees but the department is yet to implement the orders. The employees also alleged that the department is sitting over the proposal to amend the service rules of the clerks due to which the grade III employees having higher qualifications than required are not getting promotions. The association is also demanding that the field workers of the department should also get the benefit of Assured Career Progression (ACP) scheme of 2010.
