Despite police insisting banks in the State capital to put into place the minimum security arrangements to ensure their safety yet nothing has till been done. Mention worthy, SSP Sadanand Date had issued instructions to the banks to ensure fool-proof security.
The dismal state of security at the banks and their ATMs came to the fore when SP City Ajay Singh had deployed Cheetah Police to check things. At some ATMs, CCTV cameras were not operational. At others, no security guard was found keeping guard. The gates were found dysfunctional at some of the ATMs. Singh said that the bank officials have been sent reminders about the same.
