The President of Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Pritam Singh has said that victory of Congress candidates in Srinagar and Bajpur municipal councils prove that people have rejected the anti people polices of the state government. Talking to the media persons at Rajiv Bhawan, the state party office on Thursday, a beaming PCC President claimed that the Srinagar and Bajpur results have brought into fore the anger of the people towards the state government.

He said that the BJP governments at centre and state have done nothing except loading people with price rise, steep increase in prices of petrol and diesel. He said in Uttarakhand the governance is visible nowhere and the courts are directing the government. Launching an attack on the state government for allowing sale and purchase of land near Gairsain, Singh said that the state government is dancing on the tunes of land and liquor mafia. He said that recent amendment in the Panchayati Raj Act is full of errors. He said that the Congress party would continue to oppose the incorporation of educational qualification criteria and decision of disqualifying the candidates with more than two children.
