In an annual sports meet of ONGC Mahila Samiti, Dehradun which was held at ONGC, Ambedkar Stadium, Pradeep Sahariya, ED-Chief Employee Relations was the Chief Guest D Sar, ED-Head Knowledge Management and DD Misra, GM- Head Corporate Administration were the guests of honour whereas Sanjiv Sehgal, DGM(HR), Corporate Administration and JS Waraich, DGM-GC Athletics were present as special guests.
While addressing the gathering, Sahariya, appreciated the dynamism, leadership and organizing capabilities of the members of the Mahila Samiti who always rise to the demand of occasion. He also emphasized on the contributions of the Samiti to the society by way of rendering regular social service. Earlier, Shyamla Sahariya, President of ONGC Mahila Samiti, Dehradun delivered the welcome address and the vote of thanks was proposed by Manju Sar, Vice-President, Samiti.
Surbhi Jain was adjudged as the best athlete and best bats woman and Uma Sharma as the best bowler and Pooja Sedha as women of the tournament. A number of sporting events were held like races, relay races, balloon games etc. in the meet. Throwball and cricket were the main attraction of the event. Members of the Mahila Samiti participated in the meet with enthusiasm and full energy. Poonam Sehgal, Secretary, Samiti steered the programme.
Prabhpal Waraich, Organizing Secretary along with Rita Saxena, Anshu Suri, Kalpana Sharma, Minakshi Bhatnagar, lata Shukla, Kusam Bhatia, Samta Jain, Sweety Dhupar, Sarita Verma, Jyotsana Sharma and Sanjeevani Bisht were also present.
