Acting on a tip- off, Special Task Force (STF), Uttarakhand has arrested six persons, including a woman, from Ramgarh Nayagoan in Patelnagar and recovered 38 kg poppy husk from their possession on Thursday. The accused have been identified as Kasim, Momeena, Mukaram, Chand, Abdul Salam and Saddam, all residents of Haridwar. STF had received a tip- off about two vehicles loaded with poppy husk coming to Patelnagar. Acting on the tip off, a team led by sub-inspector Aman Chadda was formed to nab the accused. During vehicle checking drive, the team checked two vehicles and found 38 kg poppy husk stacked in them. During questioning, those arrested are learnt to have said that they brought the poppy husk from mountainous parts to supply it in various places in Haridwar .
