State police have formed a SIT led by circle officer, Dalanwala to conduct a fair and thorough investigation into the alleged murder of an advocate Rajesh Suri in 2014, said Garhwal Range DIG Pushpak Jyoti on Thursday.
Sources said that Suri had fought several cases related to land scams involving the high and the mighty in the court. Advocate Suri had died in 2014 when he was returning to Dehradun from High Court, Nainital.
He had gone to High Court to appear in a land scam-related case. He had been admitted at a private hospital in Dehradun after he felt pain in his heart. later he had died. Though the death had been declared as a natural heart attack related one the deceased’s sister Rita Suri had refused to accept it.
