Uttarakhand Governor KK Paul has administered the oath of office to ex-CS Shatrughan Singh as Chief Information Commissioner of Uttarrakhand, in the presence of Chief Minister Harish Rawat at Rajbhawan on Saturday. With this the Information Commission got new CIC, Uttarakhand, the post of which was running vacant since retirement of NS Napalchayal in the year April 2015.
Ex-CM and Haridwar MP Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Mussoorie's MlA Ganesh Joshi, Pauri MlA Sunderlal Mandarwal, senior Information Commissioner of State Information Commission Rajendra Kotiyal, Information Commissioner SS Rawat, newly-appointed Chief Secretary S Ramaswamy, DGP MA Ganapathy, OSD and Secretary to the Governor Arun Dhaundiyal, senior officials of police and administration and several other eminent persons were present there. The ceremony was conducted by Secretary (General Administration) Shailesh Bagauli.
