Reacting on the RTI query, Chief Minister Harish Rawat said that the information commissioner can penalise the information officers if they do not give information under the RTI. “However, SIC recommending CBI inquiry is unacceptable as it amounts to jumping its purview to encroach into that of others,” the CM said.
