A sub-inspector was suspended because he allegedly argued with MlA Madan Singh Bisht who had parked his vehicle in a no-parking zone, at Rajpur Road on Friday evening. This particular incident has raised several questions whether law, which are being made by legislature in the assembly, only applicable to the common man or does it also apply to the lawmakers, that is, MlAs.
As sub-inspector was doing his duty effectively they should be awarded by the MlA rather than directing senior police officer to suspend him because he dared to enforce law on him.Sources said that MlA Madan Singh Bisht, who went along with his family for shopping, had parked his vehicle at a no parking zone outside a hotel at Jakhan on Friday.
When sub-inspector Manmohan Singh saw a vehicle in no parking zone began looking for the vehicle owner. As MlA Bisht, was unknown to the sub-inspector allegedly argued with him and imposed challan under MV Act on him. later Bisht introduced himself as MlA of Dwarhat. MlA Bisht went inside the hotel directed the senior police officers to suspend the sub-inspector for his alleged misbehaviour with him. Following the
direction of the MlA, SSP immediately suspended the SI with immediate effect.
