The Uttarakhand Meteorological Centre has forecasted light rain/snow at a few places on hills and light rain/thunder shower at isolated places in plains of Uttarakhand. Snowfall (01 to 05 cm. in depth) may occur at places with height more than 3000 m on Tuesday, said Uttarakhand Metrological Centre director Anand Sharma on Monday.
He attributed this to western disturbances this time. Dehradun witnessed cloudy sky during morning hours followed by sunshine throughout the day. Sharma said that the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 22.5°C and 12.3°C respectively in Dehradun on Monday.
The weather forecast for Dehradun on Tuesday is generally cloudy and light rain/thunder showers from late afternoon/evening onwards. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 20°C and 11°C respectively on Tuesday in Dehradun, it is learnt.
