For the benefit of Uttarakhand natives residing in Mumbai, the Shiv Sena has formally opened is Uttarakhand public relations office at Thane in Mumbai. Addressing the gathering as the chief guest on the occasion, the Maharashtra cabinet minister Eknath Sambhaji Shinde said that this initiative had been taken to keep the natives of Uttarakhand in Maharashtra connected with their native culture and land. He said, “Maharashtra is known as Veer Bhumi while Uttarakhand is famous as Dev Bhoomi. The people of these states are true patriots are keeping them connected is needed for the welfare of the states and nation.”
Shiv Sena Uttarakhand state head Gaurav Kumar said that a considerable number of Uttarakhandis live in Maharashtra. The Uttarakhandis in Maharashtra need to be connected as joint efforts matter the most for development, he added.
