On the occasion of the 70th Independence Day, the Uttarakhand Chief Secretary, Shatrughna Singh, after hoisting tricolour, exhorted civil servants to abide by good governance for the all round development of the State. Stressing upon strengthening of infrastructure, education and health, he said that dedication to duty and transparency in working could bring qualitative change in the life of people.
Highlighting free struggle and paying tribute to martyrs, Singh called upon bureaucrats to take a vow on the auspicious occasion to contribute devotedly for the all round development of the State.
He affirmed that after Uttarakhand was carved out as separate State from Uttar Pradesh, it moved on the path of progress leaps and bounds. We have better power supply, roads, education, health system, he added.
