After expulsion from the Bahujan Samaj Party, former legislator has called a meeting of his supporters on May 19 to strategise the future election moves.  Through the meeting Mohammad Shahzad is preparing to show his political prowess while the party is losing one of its influential members for minorities.

In the tussle which began for the post of Zila Panchayat president, the party forcefully withdrew the nomination paper of the former legislator’s brother and after that expelled him from the party on the grounds of having contacts with BJP. The former legislator has held national secretary and state president of BSP Naseemuddin Siddiqui responsible for this whole episode.

The former legislator has alleged that the state president tied up with the other party candidate and withdrew the nomination paper. Speaking to the Pioneer, Shazad said, “Fixing up a deal with Congress, the party president expelled me. Now we shall work out the future strategy for the political moves on 19 May near Gangnehar office in Roorkee. As my supporters would suggest, the steps shall be taken for the future.” A war has been waged by this former legislator against the party BSP say the observers.

In a meeting with his supporters in Kaliyar, Shahzad targeted Congress and BSP saying he had been deceived and betrayed. “Corruption rules in the Bahujan samaj party.

For 10 years I have been legislator but never was the money factor so influential as now amongst the office bearers. So I was becoming a roadblock in their path,’ said Shahzad.

“In the previous Zila Panchayat polls as well we had taken the support from BJP but doing a deal with Harish Rawat for his floor test was more lucrative for senior BSP leaders.

So opponents in my party targeted me and expelled me from the party deceptively,” added Shahzad.

It is being said that Mohammad Shahzad would fight from Kaliyar seat for Vidhan Sabha polls against BSP to teach his rivals.
