Shah's address was all 'boasts and blames': CM

Chief Minister Harish Rawat said that the BJP national president Amit Shah’s address during his recent visit to Uttarakhand was largely composed of boasts and blames. Speaking to the local media persons after meeting Shankaracharya of Jyotir Peeth and Dwarika  Peeth, Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati at his ashram in Kankhal, Rawat said, “I respect the BJP national president Amit Shah but what he said in the rally here was largely composed of boasts and blames. However, it was not Amit Shah who was at fault but the coterie of people which surrounded him and gave him feedback.”

Rawat assured all possible assistance for repairing the Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi Sthal at Kedarnath during the 2013 disaster. Rawat further alleged that the Centre had undertaken all possible measures to topple his Government. He said, “Failing this they took help of a television channel to conduct a sting operation as part of conspiracy hatched against me. The Centre is bent upon CBI probe of the victim (Rawat) but the persons of the other side are moving around freely,” said Rawat while adding that he himself wanted a fair probe to be done into the matter.

The CM also claimed that the Congress has not suffered any loss due to its renegade MlAs joining the BJP, while stressing that he did not wish that they return to the Congress.
