The public schools run by the Shri Guru Ram Rai (SGRR) Education Mission are fulfilling a vital role in facilitation of school education in the state. The State’s Education secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram said this while speaking as the chief guest at the annual principals’ conference of SGRR schools held here on Monday.
The focus of the conference was on the role of principals in the growth and development of schools.
Speaking on the occasion, Sundaram said that the SGRR Education Mission and Darbar Sahib are the backbone of Uttarakhand in the education sector. The schools run by the education mission provide English medium education at reasonable rates to children from lower and lower-middle class sections of society. Similarly, the Mahant Indiresh Hospital also provides quality health services at reasonable rates.
One of the attributes of the SGRR public schools in that the principals of these schools pay attention to every individual student and focus on their wholesome development, he added.
Speaking as the guest of honour on the occasion, SGRR Education Mission vice president RP Dhyani said that becoming a principal is not a difficult task.
However, maintaining consistency while efficiently discharging the responsibilities of the position is quite challenging, he said.
The education mission’s education officer DP Mamgai spoke on the administrative rights and capabilities of principals.
Only when the administration and discipline in the school are proper will the capabilities of the students be enhanced and the result will be better.
The principals of SGRR schools from Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, mountainous areas of Uttarakhand and Dehradun also communicated the issues of their schools to the management on the occasion.
