Acting on a tip-off, an Anti-Human Trafficking team busted a sex racket that was operating from an industrial area under the City Kotwali of Haridwar district.
The team raided a place near Hanuman Mandir in the vicinity of Tibdi railway crossing. Four persons namely — Aditya Verma alias lucky (22), Vinod (24), son of Rajesh Verma, Sunita (50)-wereheld. All are from Tihri Visthapit colony near Shivalik Nagar and Shivani (20), resident of 481 Tuglkabad Delhi. All have been charged under 370 (2) of IPC and 4/5/6 of ITPA Act. Mentionworthy, on 13 February, SI Rakesh Bhatt of Anti Human Trafficking Unit had arrested Shivani along with one Sandip Goyal, resident of Ghas mandi, Kankhal area. However, four others fled.
