Several areas of the capital city witnessed power outage due to some technical snags at different feeders on Monday. Additionally, couple of localities will also witness power outage on Tuesday due to the scheduled repairing roster by the State power department for ensuring the round the clock electricity to the consumers.
The schedule maintenance roster prepared by the state power department will force the residents to face the heat on Tuesday. As per the roster, the power cut will be observed from 10 am to 5 pm at 33 KV Ajabpur and 33 KV Kargi feeders in the capital city.
One of the department sources who wished anonymity told The Pioneer that the maintenance and repairing of lines and transformers is the regular feature for ensuring the disruption free power supply to the consumers in the Garhwal and Kumaon divisions of Uttarakhand. He told that the maintenance work will be jointly carried out with PTCUl (PowerTransmissionCorporation of Uttarakhand limited) for removing the technical snags at the lines in the given time frame.
