The voter awareness campaign through cultural shows received a setback as the district administration, Nainital, has cancelled the cultural programmes of Aarif Naadan Kawwal, though cultural shows of some other cultural teams will continue under the voter awareness campaign as per schedule in different parts of the district.
US Rana, Deputy Election Officer, Nainital, said that cultural progammes of the Aarif Naadan Kawwal have been cancelled on account of busy schedule of the cultural team. But the cultural programmes of other cultural groups will continue in different parts of the district as per schedule to encourage the voters for participating in voting, added Rana.
As per the schedule, the voter awareness programme with cultural shows will be held at Bhawali on Friday, informed the official concerned of the Nainital district administration.Similarly, the voter awareness programme will be organised in Ramnagar on April 26 followed by Kaladhunig on April 28, lalkuwan on April 30, Haldwani on May 2 and Nainial on May 3, informed the officials concerned of the Nainital district administration.
More so, added the officials concerned, voter awareness rallies will also be held in Haldwani and Nainital on May 2 and May 3 respectively. So the people are advised to attend the voter awareness campaigns in a big way,further said the officials concerned.
