The Employees State Insurance Regional director Amarjit Singh has said that those working in industrial enterprises and cottage industry should seek benefits under the State Insurance scheme.
The State Insurance dispensary periodically organises multipurpose camps to raise awareness among workers on benefits provided by the Government. Singh said this at a multipurpose camp held at the Century Pulp and Paper Mill here on Tuesday.
Singh directed officials to provide all necessary information to the workers on ESI. He also exhorted the workers to learn about State insurance benefit. About a dozen doctors conducted medical check ups of scores of people. Medicines were also distributed during the camp.
Earlier, the mill’s chief operating officer JP Narayan averred that employees of the mill were enjoying the benefits of ESI. Scores of mill workers and their family members attended the multipurpose camp.
