The second stage of the Uttarakhand Super league is slated to begin on July 30. The super eight matches will be held on league basis from July 30 to August 4 on the historic Pavillion Ground in Dehradun.
Addressing the media at the press club here on Friday, the Uttarakhand Super league chairman Virendra Rawat said that this football league has been started with the aim of providing the young football talent in Uttarakhand, a platform to further improve their skills and help them progress to national and international levels. He said that this league was the first such football event of its kind to be held in the State wherein native players were playing along with players from foreign nations. A total of 14 teams are participating in the Uttarakhand Super league, he added.
