Due to failure of self-financed BEd colleges affiliated with Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand (SDSU) University, to submit information about their students to the university by the set deadline, the university has cancelled the BEd exams proposed to be held on April 16. A decision is expected to be taken on the revised examination schedule on April 21.
It should be mentioned that BEd colleges did not provide information about teaching days and list of their students to the university on time. They were told to submit the data on students appearing for the exam by April 11.
This was not done so the 27 BEd colleges were given till April 13 to provide the data which they again failed to provide. On Monday the State fees regulatory committee chief retired judge Ram Avtar chaired a meeting with university and Education department officials. The committee has directed all the colleges concerned to submit the data by April 16. A meeting will be held on April 21 to decide the revised exam schedule and some students will also be invited to present their position in this meeting.
