The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) rescued a Delhi based woman, Pratima Garg from Chaurabari Glacier on Thursday night. She was said to be stuck under a huge boulder.
SDRF Commandant Superintendent of Police (SP) Tripti Bhatt giving information about the rescue said, “We got the information about her being there at about 9 PM in the night and she was rescued at about 1 AM and was brought at SDRF camp at Kedarnath. The lady went there without giving any prior information or taking permission. She had got some injuries, but is fine.”
She further said, “We issue advisory and guidelines for people going on trek at high altitudes. Especially those who plan solo trek should definitely inform local authority.
