Education Minister Mantri Prasad Naithani gave Navrati gift to his Vidhan Sabha constituency Devprayag by opening of science subjects in two Inter colleges. These schools are Government Girls Inter College (GGIC) Devprayag and Government Inter College (GIC), Ransolidhar. The science subjects of Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Mathematics would be available for the students of these schools from next session.
The parents associations of these schools were demanding about addition of science subjects in these schools from quite some time in the past.
On Monday, these associations expressed their gratitude to State Chief Minister Harish Rawat and Education Minister Naithani for accepting their long standing demand.
The State Government has also released a sum of `269.73 lakhs for eight kilometer long Chunnikhal-Khongcha-Panav motor road in Devprayag. The construction of this road link is one an old demand of the people of the area.
