In view of the snowfall, rain and resulting change in weather, the Pauri district magistrate Chandrashekhar Bhatt has ordered all government, government-aided and private schools upto intermediate level to remain closed on January 23 and 24.
like other areas of the State, Pauri district has also been experiencing rainfall in the lower altitude regions and snowfall in the higher altitude regions. Early on Thursday morning, four cattle died when the cattle shed they were sheltered in was struck by lightning in the Dwarikhal block of the district.
