The Government and private schools being closed at the behest of the district administration for 60 hours from 11 July in view of the heavy rainfall warning by the Met department, the students are enjoying the time with the rain remaining elusive.
Notably,the Meteorological department had predicted 115.6 mm to 204.4 mm rainfall for a few days starting from Tuesday. The district administration had acted on it while announcing the closure of schools for four days. However, Tuesday saw no rain while it rained intermittently on Monday night.
A student of Delhi Public School Atharv Verma said that as the bus had not come to take him to his school he was enjoying his time at home. “I am enjoying video game now,” he said with a beaming face.
