The special investigation team (SIT) constituted to look into the multi Crore scholarship scam arrested the owner of Alpine College of Management and Technology, Dehradun in connection with the scam on Saturday.
The scam occurred during the years 2011-12 to 2015-16 in which scholarships worth Crores of rupees was transferred into fictitious accounts in connivance with the corrupt officials of social welfare department. The SIT headed by the Deputy Superintendent (DSP) of police, Jaya Baluni arrested Anil Saini, a resident of Basant Vihar, Dehradun.
