SC’s decision on CBI episode vindicates Centre: Ajay Bhatt

Published on:

The State BJP president Ajay Bhatt said on Friday that the Supreme Court’s decision on Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) director’s leave episode has vindicated the stand of the Union Government. Terming the SC decision as a lesson for the Congress, now hell-bent on maligning the image of the Centre and the Prime Minister, he said that the demonstration held on the day by the party was ridiculous.

Bhatt said that the CBI had been reduced to a parrot during the Congress’s rule and things are being corrected now. “The Union Government has sent Alok Kumar on leave on the suggestion of the chief vigilance commissioner (CVC),” he said. Lashing out at the Congress, he said that the party is making wild, concocted allegation and linking it with Rafale deal. “In desperation for power, the Congress is stooping abysmally low and is engaged in vilifying the image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. But all such attempts have  failed miserably,” Bhatt said.

On the upcoming ULB election, the BJP leader said that a debacle is awaiting the Congress. “Our win would be as massive and emphatic as our Assembly election victory,” he said.
