The Governor has granted her approval to the State advisory price of sugar cane for sugar cane to be purchased by all sugar mills in the cane crushing session of 2019-20.
According to a communication issued by joint secretary Pradeep Joshi to the cane and sugar commissioner, the state advisory price for early variety of sugar cane has been set at Rs 327 per quintal (at mill gate) and Rs 317 per quintal (at mill gate) for normal variety.
As in the previous crushing session, Rs 11 per quintal will be cut for transport of sugar cane from the external purchase centres of the sugar mills to the mill.
The said sugar cane rate will be payable by all sugar mills of the cooperative, government and private sector in the State.
