Taking cognisance on the matter raised by BJP MlA Rajesh Shukla, Treasury Bench assured the House that Sainik Farm, which was established for the welfare of war widow or dependent of soldiers who sacrificed their live during World War--II, will not be used for other than above mentioned purpose.
The matter was raised by the MlA Shukla during Zero Hour on Wednesday. late, Opposition also shown a Government notification, which categorically says that the farm land will be used for the rehabilitation of Van Gujjars, then Parliamentary Affairs Minister Indira Hridayesh asked Opposition to bring the matter as breach of privilege of the House on Thursday.
MlA Shukla alleged that State Government is trying to get back the land from Sainik farm situated in Pattharchatta, Udhamsinghnagar. Although the land was allotted for the welfare war widow or martyr soldiers’s dependent but now Government is trying to sell their land to the private party.
They further alleged that earlier Government had allotted a piece of land to the private builder, who have been reselling the land into small piece @ `25,000 per square yard and the Sainik farm land spread over 1423.97 acres is just adjacent to the private builder. It would be interesting to note that the farm turn over is `4.56 crore per annum and now its land price is hovering more than 100 billion so Government is trying to grab the piece of land.
If the piece of land will be sold then how State would provide welfare schemes dedicated to the Ex-servicemen and their dependent. Sensing mala fide intention of Government Ex-servicemen have been sitting in protest and they are planning to organise State wide agitation.
later, leader of Opposition Ajay Bhatt, Banshidhar Bhagat spoke on the issue. later Parliamentary Affairs Minister Indira Hridayesh assured the house that their land will not be taken back by the State Government.
Meanwhile MlA Shukla presented a Government
notification signed by an IAS Shailesh Bagoli, which
States that the land will be acquired by the State Government to rehabilitate the Van Gujjars. Seeing the proof PAM asked opposition to raise the matter as breach of privilege in the house on Thursday.
With this announcement PAM earned lots of appreciation from the opposition bench because they reciprocated by drumming on table.
