BJP and Rudrapur MlA Rajkumar Thukral staged protest at the entrance of Chief Minister office within the premises of Secretariat on Friday.
He also threatened that if State Government failed to withdraw the fake FIR, then he along with his supporters would intensify their agitation by Wednesday. Meanwhile, as this news broke, the secretariat administration called police as precautionary measures.
Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna, whose chopper could not take off due to inclement weather, had returned to their office and met the agitated MlA. During meeting he assured that he would try to address their grievances by Wednesday. On late evening leader of Opposition Ajay Bhatt and BJP state president Tirath Singh Rawat reached to the Secretariat and ended the daylong protest inside the Secretariat.
Thukral alleged that with the consent of ex-MlA police lodged fake FIR against their supporter. He demanded that State Government should check the location through mobile surveillance and if allegedly guilty as per FIR found at the spot of incident then he would not protest. If their location was not found as mentioned in the FIR then Government should immediately withdraw the case. MlA alleged that Udham Singh Nagar police is making all effort to appease ex-MlA.
