Ruby Choudhary who was taken under police custody on Tuesday by the SIT was sent to Suddhowala jail after she was presented in the court on Friday evening. Before that, the SIT had brought Choudhary to the Doon Hospital to have her medical checkup done.
Earlier on Tuesday, she was taken to Meerut by the SIT to collect evidences in the case. On Wednesday, she was taken to Nainital from where she was supposed to have procured the fake ID card, bearing her designation as sub-divisional magistrate. On Thursday, she was admitted to the Doon Hospital after she had complained of numbness in her limbs. On Friday morning, Choudhary was taken to Mussoorie.
Senior officers probing the Ruby Chaudhary case suggested that this case might not be the first one. “We feel such impersonations might have happened in the past too,” said an officer, adding they are writing to the Centre to probe things thoroughly.
