Haridwar, an important religious place, has beckoned Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh once again for consolidating itself, inducting new youths and training them to adopt Swadeshi in their life and to work for national integration.

The city is witnessing a five-day annual practice session camp of RSS at Shri Jagadguru ashram at Kankhal. The RSS chief who arrived on Monday evening would stay for two days. He participated in the last rites ceremony of one of the ‘Sangh Chalaks’ from Punjab on Tuesday .

Along with other RSS volunteers, Mohan Bhagwat participated in the ash immersion ritual of Brigadier Jagdish Gagneja (retired) at Sati Ghat at Kankhal. Bhagwat said he was deeply touched by the passing away of a devoted worker like Gagneja.

RSS Spokesperson from the district Anil Gupta informed  that Mohan Bhagwat would speak on multiple issues and guide the volunteers on the value of character building and enhancing mental abilities.  The programme is not for public but only for the Sangh volunteers, he said, adding that there would be motivational talks by the leaders who have come from across the country.

As many as 110 functionaries of RSS from Braj, Meerut and Uttarakhand have come to take part in the Sangh programme. There would be detailed discussion on the working of RSS and its principles, added Gupta.
