Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Chief Mohan Bhagwat honoured the bereaved family members of Kargil war martyrs— Captain Karan Vijendra Thapar and Captain Manoj Pandey, at Suratgiri Bangla at Kankhal in Haridwar on Monday in the presence of the Chief Minister, some of his Cabinet Ministers, the Assembly Speaker Prem Chandra Agarwal and the MP from Tehri Rani Rajyalakshmi Shah.  later, he went to Patanjali Yog Peeth to participate in the valedictory programme of Sadhu Swadhyay Sangam Sammelan. The RSS Chief also offered prayers to mother Ganga amidst the chanting of the Vedic mantras at the Suratgiri Bangla Ashram at Kankhal. This was Bhagwat’s birthday too. On the sidelines of the programme, when quizzed about the fracas involving ABVP, Bajrang Dal and BJP legislator from rural Haridwar having broken out on Sunday, Chief Minister underplayed it, saying that it was nothing more than a family feud. “It would be resolved soon  in an amicable manner,” he said. As per sources, the groups involved in it have been asked to withdraw cases lodged against one another immediately without any precondition following intervention of the Sangh brass. It is learnt that a meeting attended by the State and district leaders and the leaders of the aggrieved groups was held where the leaders of the fighting camps were asked to withdraw the police cases.

Some party insiders said, the matter might be sent to BJP disciplinary committee.
