The District Election Office, Nainital, has claimed to have recovered Rs50 lakh from a vehicle in Kaladhungi assembly constituency's Nayagaon area.
However, the amount i.e. Rs50 lakh has been seized as the owner of the vehicle could not produce valid documents for carrying the large sum during investigation, said District Election Officer, Nainital, Akshat Gupta. At the same time he also appealed to the people not to carry large amount along with them without proper documents during the election period.
